InterLAN - Internet Exchange

Founded in 2005, InterLAN is a Romanian association of telecom operators, its principal objective being to establish a strong local telecom community. InterLAN has been a full and active member of the Euro-IX Association since 2008 and it operates Interlan Internet Exchange. InterLAN is and will remain a neutral Internet Exchange which has successfully managed to establish a free internet traffic exchange. Today, InterLAN brings together more than 60 operators in Romania and beyond, offering peering at affordable cost, which has increased the performance of IP. InterLAN is and will be an Internet Exchange dedicated to all telecommunications operators, irrespective of their size, internet providers, transportation companies, national and international content providers, VoIP providers, application providers, hosting companies that operate data networks and need to peer with others. With over 70 Gbps traffic, important partners in Europe and the US, interconnected in Bucharest and Frankfurt, and the traffic through interconnection with Balkan-IX Sofia, makes InterLAN one of the most important Internet Exchange in Romania and even in the south-Est Europe.
