Innocenzo Genna is the EU legal and policy advisor for Namex, the Internet Exchange of Rome. In general, he is a legal and strategy consultant advising companies, associations and governments on European telecoms and Internet regulations. He also provides comments as a tech expert for magazines and via his professional blog RadioBruxellesLibera (https://radiobruxelleslibera.com). During his career in Brussels he has been holding executive tasks in various European trade organizations dealing with telecoms and Internet, such as for instance Euroispa, MVNO Europe, ECTA, EIF Forum. During the Internet growth he served as General Counsel for Tiscali S.p.A..
At beginning of his career, he was a partner attorney at Ughi e Nunziante, a leading Italian law firm based in Rome and Milan, where he dealt mainly with European, competition and ICT law cases. He also previously practised in Bologna at the law firm Studio Legale Bernini as well as at the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg.
Innocenzo Genna graduated in law (magna cum laude) at the University of Macerata with a dissertation on the legal status of Berlin. He holds a L.L.M. of the College of Europe (Bruges) and a Magister Iuris from the University of Trier. He has also been awarded a Diplome in Comparative
Law from the International Faculty of Comparative Law of Strasbourg.
Beside professional practice, Innocenzo Genna is also a pianist and piano composer, his original music repertoire can be freely accessed on main platforms such as Spotify, Itunes, Youtube and Soundcloud.
