Portia Rabonda is an Evangelical Optician at Flexoptix where she has been engaging with IXPs and network operators globally since joining in 2019. She is currently responsible for market development, customer support and community engagement in Africa.
Introduced to the community in 2014 through working with SAFNOG, Portia has a strong love for the community. She currently serves on the AFIX Board of Directors (as of Sep 2024), INX-ZA Management Committee (since 2020) as well as several Programme Committees including ZAPF and ngPIF and NOGs across Africa.
She aims to expand the reach of reliable and affordable internet services, enabling socio-economic growth and development in Africa and empowering communities through connectivity.
